To mark the celebration of World Environment Day, Shri Guru Nanak Khalsa PG College, Sri Ganganagar, organized a meaningful Tree Plantation Drive on campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff, all coming together with a shared commitment to preserving and protecting our environment.
Under the theme “Our Land. Our Future. We are #GenerationRestoration”, the plantation drive aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation and the urgent need to restore natural ecosystems. Various types of saplings were planted in and around the college premises, including neem, gulmohar, ashoka, and fruit-bearing trees — symbolizing growth, life, and sustainability.
🌱 Highlights of the Event:
Over 100 saplings were planted across the campus.
Students took a pledge to protect the environment and promote green practices.
Eco-awareness messages were shared through posters, slogans, and speeches.
Faculty encouraged youth to take leadership in sustainable living.
This green initiative not only added to the beauty of the college campus but also instilled a deeper sense of ecological responsibility in all participants. 🌍
At Shri Guru Nanak Khalsa PG College, we believe that every small step towards sustainability counts — and by planting today, we nurture tomorrow.
